GAA
Congratulations to the U20 lads on winning the Division 2 league Final on Friday last. The game lived up to its expectations and it was just end to end football, with very little between the sides at any time. With time almost up Cootehill looked like they might have just done enough to seal the win, but the Lavey lads work rate never faltered and a moment of magic by Oisin Tynan busted the net raising the green flag to put lavey in front, and James Sheridan put the icing on the cake with another stoppage time goal. The cup was presented to Lavey's Captains James Mcbreen and the lads thoroughly deserved their victory, and also a mentin to a very gallant Cootehill side as it takes 2 teams to make a great game. The final score was Lavey 3-13, Cootehill 1-14.
