They can be left in the box provided at the back of either church or dropped in the letterbox of either Parochial House.
With the number of priests in active ministry in decline, the involvement of lay people is essential. Teamwork of people and priests working together is becoming increasingly important so a good Parish Pastoral Council is vital to the running of a parish.

Mission Sunday
Next weekend we celebrate World Mission Sunday, the Holy Fathers annual appeal to support overseas mission and missionaries. The theme for this year is "You shall be my witnesses". Since the pandemic, there have been less people physically attending Mass, meaning less offerings. The implications for overseas missionaries and the communities they serve over the coming months will be very challenging. You can help now by donating €4 by texting the word Mission to 50300 or using your special envelope marked Mission Sunday. Over €1.3 million was collected on Mission Sunday last year, which helped to renovate and construct 6 churches, 7 buildings renovated or built: presbyteries, convents, parish offices and 3 child related projects assisted.

Everyone at Lavey GAA was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Tony Smith. Tony was a gentleman who always supported the club in any way needed. He was a very talented player who captained Lavey to the Junior Championship in 1975 with a man of the match performance. He involved himself in underage coaching where all players remember him fondly for his upbeat and positive tone. The club sends condolences to his heartbroken wife Dolores, his son Trevor, daughter Celina, and his extended family.
